THE PROBLEM OF PRICES FOR PHOTOGRAPHER EXPERTISE
A giant ship’s engine broke down and no one could fix it, so they took it to a Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years of experience. He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After looking at everything, the engineer dug into his bag and took out a small hammer. He tapped something gently. Soon, the engine came back to life. The engine was fixed!!! 7 days later the engineer quoted the total cost of repairing the giant ship to the owner of the ship as $10,000. “What?!” said the owner. “You barely did anything. Give us an itemized bill.” The answer was simple: -Knocking with a hammer: $2 -Knowing where to knock & how much to knock: $9,998

The importance of appreciating someone’s expertise and experience. So that the words “it’s fun”, “that’s all”, should be set aside. Why? Because maybe that experience is the result of struggle, experiments and even tears. Like the picture above: If i do a job in 30 minutes it’s because i spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes. If I can finish a job in 30 minutes, it’s because I spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes. This sentence reminds me of someone’s advice about respecting and wisely respecting the work of others. There I also learned to see people. When they don’t respect others, at the same time they have humiliated themselves. Expertise and experience, that’s expensive. Unfortunately, our people still look down on that.
Sebuah enjin kapal gergasi rosak dan tidak ada yang boleh memperbaikinya, maka mereka membawanya kepada seorang Jurutera Mekanik berpengalaman lebih 40 tahun. Dia memeriksa enjin tersebut dengan sangat teliti, dari atas ke bawah. Setelah melihat semuanya, jurutera itu selongkar begnya dan mengeluarkan tukul kecil. Dia mengetuk sesuatu dengan lembut. Tidak lama kemudian, enjin itu hidup kembali. Enjin telah diperbaiki !!! 7 hari kemudian jurutera itu menyebut kos jumlah harga pembaikan kapal gergasi tersebut ialah $ 10,000 kepada pemilik kapal. “Apa?!” kata pemiliknya. “Anda hampir tidak melakukan apa-apa. Berikan bil terperinci kepada kami. “Jawapannya mudah: -Mengetuk dengan tukul: $ 2 -Mengetahui di mana hendak mengetuk & berapa banyak untuk mengetuk: $ 9,998

Pentingnya menghargai kepakaran dan pengalaman seseorang. Sehingga kata-kata “senang je”, “cuma itu je”, seharusnya diketepikan. Kenapa? Kerana mungkin pengalaman itu adalah terhasil daripada perjuangan, eksperimen dan juga air mata. Sekiranya saya dapat menyelesaikan pekerjaan dalam 30 minit, itu kerana saya menghabiskan 10 tahun belajar bagaimana melakukannya dalam 30 minit. Anda membayar saya selama 10 tahun itu, bukan 30 minit. Kalimat ini mengingatkan saya kepada nasihat seseorang tentang menghormati dan bijak menghormati hasil kerja orang lain. Di sana saya juga belajar melihat orang. Apabila mereka tidak menghormati orang lain, dalam masa yang sama dia telah merendahkan dirinya sendiri. Kepakaran dan pengalaman, itu mahal. Sayangnya, orang kita masih memandang rendah tentang perkara itu.
